Just Staying In

Well another one of those days where it was a struggle to get some pants on Max so I gave up on the t-shirt. If there wasn't this cold draft in my apartment, i would have no trouble letting him run around in diapers but i don't want him to catch something. Max is also adamantly refusing the ERGO (OMG!) nowadays so most of our afternoon naps are in house, my back says thank you but my social life has turned upside down because of this new normal. Life and times of a mother, woweee...

The kid really loves our cat Moe. I've had shots like this before, but trust me these moments happen often. Our cat can be quite the handful especially when he's meowing after i've put Max to bed or sneaking into Max's room while he's sleeping. When you put in all that effort to put a kid to sleep and this feline comes in possibly ruining EVERYTHING, sometimes I just want to pull my hair out and scream. Then, I see pics like this and Moe being just so gentle and playful with Max that i should really be thankful that I don't have a crazy, violent, jealous cat especially since Max came after him. Moe is such a gentle, emotional, giant, stealth, boy cat…i should really pay some more attention to him awww..

Max almost smashed my camera to pieces the other day after I left it on this dresser near my entry way. I thought it was safe; nothing was dangling over the ledge and it was tucked away semi table surface centre. I wasn't paying any attention to it until i heard this grinding sound and saw Max reaching and grabbing the camera by the strap! i saw him drag the camera off the dresser (really, since when did he get so tall?!?!) and it had enough length that if he grabbed it 2 inches less from where he did he would've smashed it to the ground (because he's still short). I nearly had a heart attack! He didn't get in trouble or anything but you better believe i bought him his own camera afterwards. This cute one from Superstore has a bunch of flashing lights, music, and a lens that makes a super cringe worthy grinding sound. He likes the look of mine, but so far more interested in his, phew! 

Lots of indoor days lately mainly because i don't feel like struggling to get a 2 year old dressed. The all day Christmas music has been of help to keep us entertained because Christmas music is just plain awesome. Max is also able to entertain himself longer with his current toys and since we banned the iPad about a month ago, he's not wanting me to be around every other minute of the day pressing the replay button on youtube for his favourite videos (wow, how irritating that was!).
